Mike McFadden is the GOP nominee to take on Al Franken in Minnesota, and the race, while a reach, is winnable.
Recall that Franken “won” the race in the big Obama year of 2008 by a handful of disputed votes and while Franken has worked to be invisible, he remains a polarizing, greatly disliked figure in a year when all of the political wind is in his face, not at his back.
McFadden is center-right in the tradition of Norm Coleman, Tim Pawlenty and other successful Gopher State Republicans, can help fund his own campaign, and is working the race hard.
McFadden will open the show with me today and spend an hour and a half in the AM 1280 The Patriot booth with me on Machinery Hill at the Fair, so if you are visiting the fair, come by and meet Mike. You can follow him on Twitter @MikeforMN.
